The Slippersons was a collaboration between two residents of
Hawaii Island – Richard Russell and Peter Weinstock –
who shared a love for creating new music and exploring
the myriad possibilities that the language of music offers…
After co-writing several songs in a modern jazz style, as well as re-arranging some originals of their own, they started working as a band – to see what the material really sounded like – with four master musicians – Robin Jensen, Jesse Snyder, Brian McCree & Joe Gargiulo.
This was the result. It was recorded by Joey Bradley in the Kumau Barn
In October 2015 they recorded an album –
which was released in September, 2016
